Having founded Country Corner Cycles in 2018 after being shocked at the prices, on average £5,000 for a trike, I could not afford one but desperately wanted one for fun and needed one to get around my mini farm where I kept my therapy animals and so started reseraching in 2017, having handed back (very reluctantly) one that had been loaned to me.

I found the best supplier which the widest range of power add-ons was in Shanghai and don’t let that what some say of “Chinese cheap ____” fool you – there is nothing I’ve found ‘cheap’ about the ones I’ve imported and trailed and only when I consider them a worthy product, do I sell them.

I have had a few people ask if I have a showroom – I wish but no, Country Corner Cycles has grown from just my need, to then deciding to import and sell on, with enough mark-up to raise funds for my therapy animals in The Country Corner and still be much more affordable than the other makes on the market, so no showroom, just my home which is luckily quite roomy and I usually only order when a customer has decided what model they want – so all very much a ‘one (wo)man band’ but I could not manage either the Cycles or the therapy side without my loyal band of volunteers.

It is the fact that none of us get paid for the hours we put in, that reflects on the affordable prices offered to you.

So yes, every sale counts in supporting our therapy project and myself and our volunteers thank each and every customer for your valuable support.

My power add-ons fit on to most folding and rigid frame chairs.

Occasionally I have one or two different types of add-on in stock if I’ve received some funding but usually I have add-ons built to order as there are so many variations, like colour, battery power and connector so I usually order specifically what a customer requires, which takes about 15 days if all parts are in stock.

The C6, where you cannot remove the battery and outsize version like the Hybrid, can only be shipped by sea which takes approximately 40 days on the water, the other models you can choose sea or air shipping.

The C1, C7 and C-Drive with batteries removed, can be flown, Air Express, as I usually hold a stock of those batteries but please check before completing check-out and pay for Air Express.

Air Express takes about 5 days after the build is completed.

If I don’t have your battery type in stock, your add-on will need to be sent with it’s batteries by sea but I have a ‘courtesy car’ trike that I can send to you to give you some power at your fingertips while you wait for your own add-on to arrive by sea but please check on the availability.

Once with me, all add-ons are checked over, test run and forwarded to you by courier.

The Goat, Quad and Hybrid being oversized, have to go by special delivery for which there is a charge of £75. No courier charge for all the others.

So, if I have your trike batteries in stock, you can choose Air Express and from you sending payment and the placing of your order, to you receiving your add-on, takes a maximum of three weeks.

For orders coming over via container ship, from you sending payment and the placing of your order, to receiving your add-on, takes between 8 to 12 weeks depending on the model you are ordering.

These estimates are based on there being no delay in the supply of parts to the factory.

For sea shipping, that estimate is based on availability of space in the container going on the ship, the weather and then UK Customs, so we cannot guarantee these time scales but usually things run on time.

Each add-on comes with a 1-year warranty with me here in the UK and I carry a selection of spares and any I don’t hold, I can get within 5 days usually.

There is currently an added 11 days to sea shipping time, usually only about 40 days on the water, but due to pirates (yes you ‘heard’ right) in the Red Sea,  vessels are re-routing down around Africa.
